Each Uncoated Tablet Contains:
Ezetimibe IP 10 mg
Ezetimibe is the lipid lowering drug and it prevents the intestinal absorption of cholesterol and phytosterol.
It reduces the low-density lipoprotein, cholesterol, triglycerides and increases high density lipoprotein.
Indications & Usage
Mechanism of Action
Ezetimibe inhibits the NPC1L1 protein in the intestinal border and reduces the uptake of intestinal uptake of cholesterol by enterocytes and decrease delivery to liver or increases the clearance of cholesterol from blood.

It is 99% bound to plasma proteins
Metabolism-
It undergoes glucuronidation and oxidation
Excretion-
It is excreted via urine

Contraindications
- Contraindicated in people with known hypersensitivity
- Contraindicated in hepatic diseases
